What is PhotoFieldKit?

PhotoFieldKit is a professional photography workflow app for iPhone and iPad. It replaces the laptop in your field workflow — letting you import from SD cards, apply IPTC metadata, edit images, and upload to your server, all from iOS.

Which devices are supported?

PhotoFieldKit requires iOS 17 or later on iPhone, or iPadOS 17 or later on iPad. An external SD card reader (USB-C or Lightning with adapter) is required for the Import module.

Which card formats are supported?

Any SD card or CFExpress card readable by iOS via a compatible card reader. This covers cards from Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic, and most other major camera brands.

What does "locked photo detection" mean?

When you protect (lock) photos in-camera, they are flagged as read-only on the memory card. PhotoFieldKit detects this flag and can import only those protected photos, or display all photos and highlight which ones are protected — letting you quickly find your selects.

Does the app require an internet connection?

Import, metadata editing, and photo editing all work fully offline. An internet connection is only required when using the Upload module to transmit files to your SFTP or FTP server.

Are my photos safe?

Yes. PhotoFieldKit processes everything on-device. Your photos are never sent to our servers. SFTP/FTP credentials are stored locally on your device only. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How is this different from the Files app?

The Files app can copy files from a card reader, but it has no locked photo detection, no IPTC metadata editing, no photo adjustments, and no SFTP upload. PhotoFieldKit is purpose-built for the complete field workflow that wire service and sports photographers need on deadline.

When will the app be available?

PhotoFieldKit is currently in active development. Join our early access list and we'll send you a TestFlight invitation as soon as testing opens.

Will there be a Mac version?

Yes — a Mac version is in development alongside the iOS app. It will include all four modules plus additional Mac-specific features. Early access subscribers will hear about it first.
